Job Description
Manage New Product Development:
  • Oversee Acne and Wound Healing product development and management of the Acne and Wound Healing category.
  • Using consumer and scientific insights, trends, and product knowledge, build a 3-year product innovation plan that addresses business needs and meets Brand DNA.
  • Partner with Labs and Industrial Development teams to ensure product feasibility and appropriate development timelines.
  • Oversee concept development: incorporate consumer and scientific insights to create meaningful and innovative product positioning, in alignment with business needs and brand equity.
  • Responsible for end-to-end project launches (insights, formula direction, packaging design, artwork, claims, launch strategy) and partnership with Zone and Market Teams to ensure comprehensive, on-time 360° launches.
  • Oversee the product development process, including dermatologist input and formula approvals, for both new products and existing product reformulations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end claims process, including clinical testing and medical studies.
  • Ensure collaboration with the Business Development team and emerging markets.
  • Build dermatological knowledge to drive strong innovation and activation.
  • Ensure the overall feasibility and profitability of projects through cost-of-goods management.
  • Create a vision for product packaging and work with creative teams on package development. Oversee the artwork process, including reviewing and approving all mechanicals.

Market Research:
  • Oversee market, consumer, and dermatologist research and analyses to provide insights on brand challenges, risks, and opportunities.
  • Work with Global Consumer Research to analyze global category research and develop action plans for the Acne and Wound Healing category.

Manage Global Marketing Activations:
Work with cross-functional partners and agencies to:
  • Brief and create integrated consumer launch plans including hero assets, POS displays, social assets, PDP copy, social activations, educational videos, and more.
  • Create big ideas and valorization strategies to animate our existing portfolio and make new product launches impactful.
  • Brief and create medical activation plans including medical conference activations, Ad Board presentations with dermatologists, and core visual aids.
  • Ensure all content meets Brand DNA.
  • Manage production budgets and drive cost efficiency.

Strategic Meeting Management:
  • Support management meeting agendas for international meetings.
  • Develop qualitative, clear, and sharp materials (PowerPoint) to ensure efficient, high-quality meetings with management.
  • Effectively present to senior management.

Zone Management:
  • Support business and coordinate communication across all zones as related to managed product categories.
  • Ensure global consistency of launches via the adoption and execution of marketing plans within managed categories.

Sustainability:
  • Support CeraVe's sustainability initiatives as related to Acne and Wound Healing.
  • Help ensure brand compliance with all L'Oréal for the Future initiatives, including sustainable packaging and formula revisions.

People Management:
  • Manage and develop 1 direct report.

Job Requirements
  • 8+ years of related business experience.
  • 4+ years of prior experience in Global Marketing and/or Product Development in consumer-packaged goods or beauty.
  • Acne and Wound Healing experience is preferred.
  • 2+ years of prior experience managing a team.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Labs on new products and/or product renovations.
  • Experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation throughout its entire life cycle.
  • Experience briefing and managing external creative agencies to bring creative concepts to life.
  • Proactive, with the ability to self-manage projects and overcome obstacles independently.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint.
  • Curiosity about competition - in skincare and beyond - as well as a taste for science.
  • Presentation skills: ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through persuasive presentations.
  • Leadership skills: ability to demonstrate leadership and foster cooperation within the brand team and with cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written and oral).
  • Demonstrates L'Oréal Competencies: Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Achiever, and Innovator.

  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,400 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.)
