We provide extensive opportunities for personal and professional development, building both employee competence and organizational capability to fuel exceptional performance through an inclusive environment both now and in the future.**Position Overview**Vizient is seeking a Vice President of Venture Delivery to lead the creation and validation of new technology-enabled solutions within Spend Management as part of Vizient’s Research & Development team.Sitting within the Data & Digital business unit, this executive will work in direct partnership with Spend Management and Product leadership to identify high-value market opportunities and translate them into differentiated products that improve financial and operational performance for healthcare organizations.The Vice President will have end-to-end accountability for taking high-potential opportunities from initial thesis through customer discovery, development, pilot execution, and validation of product-market fit. They will be responsible for proving that a meaningful customer problem exists, that Vizient can solve it in a differentiated way, and that the resulting product has a credible path to commercial and operational scale. The role will mobilize capabilities across product, technology, data, artificial intelligence, design, commercial, and domain teams to deliver measurable customer outcomes and create new sources of enterprise growth.This role requires the ownership and judgment to build new businesses in conditions of uncertainty, combined with the collaboration and influence to succeed within a complex enterprise. They will serve as the integrating leader for the venture, aligning stakeholders around a shared vision, creating clarity in ambiguity, and ensuring that product, market, customer, technical, and business decisions are made as part of one cohesive Vizient strategy.**Key Responsibilities*** Partner with Product, Spend Management, and cross-functional Data & Digital executives to identify and prioritize opportunities with the potential to deliver significant customer value and enterprise growth.* Define compelling venture strategies grounded in unmet customer needs, market dynamics, Vizient’s differentiated assets, and a clear path to value creation.* Lead ventures from initial thesis through customer discovery, MVP development, pilot execution, product-market validation, and transition readiness.* Serve as the accountable executive for the venture’s strategy, direction, customer outcomes, investment priorities, and performance during the R&D stage.* Build trusted relationships with senior healthcare executives and lead customer discovery, co-development, design partnerships, and pilot engagements.* Establish clear value hypotheses and demonstrate measurable financial, operational, and strategic impact for customers.* Integrate product, technology, data, artificial intelligence, domain, commercial, and implementation perspectives into a unified venture strategy.* Build and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams across Data & Digital, Spend Management, and enterprise functions.* Create shared ownership across organizational boundaries through clear decision rights, transparency, mutual accountability, and a common focus on customer value.* Make disciplined, evidence-based recommendations to accelerate, redirect, pause, or stop investments.* Anticipate and resolve critical dependencies involving data, technology, architecture, security, legal, contracting, customer access, and resourcing.* Partner with commercial and product leaders to validate early positioning, pricing, implementation, adoption, and go-to-market assumptions.* Engage the core product organization early to ensure validated ventures are designed, documented, and prepared for successful transition and scale.* Collaborate across the enterprise to define clear transition criteria and ensure the transfer of customer insight, product strategy, market evidence, technical context, and operating requirements.**Qualifications*** Significant executive leadership experience building new products, businesses, or technology-enabled services in complex enterprise markets.* Direct experience in healthcare Spend Management, supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or financial performance.* Demonstrated success taking opportunities from concept through customer validation, product development, pilots, and initial market traction.* Experience owning integrated business, product, customer, and operating outcomes.* Proven ability to translate complex customer challenges into differentiated solutions and compelling value propositions.* Experience developing products enabled by data, analytics, artificial intelligence, or enterprise workflow integration.* Strong commercial judgment, including experience developing business cases, structuring pilots, validating willingness to pay, and shaping early go-to-market strategies.* Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and align senior stakeholders across business units and functions.* Ability to allocate resources, manage investment tradeoffs, and make consequential decisions with incomplete information.* Exceptional executive presence, strategic judgment, communication, collaboration, and accountability.**Estimated Hiring Range:**At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $348,300.00.This position is also incentive eligible. #J-18808-Ljbffr
