As Vice President, Marketing and Product Manager at Husqvarna Construction NA, you are responsible for overseeing all marketing communication, channel marketing, training, and product market management for the North American Construction Division by aligning resources to deliver on customer expectations, supporting the sales & service efforts of our internal teams, and meeting annual sales budgets. This position is critical for executing the Husqvarna global marketing & product management strategies and contributing to the long-term strategic planning for the division.
Responsibilities:
Management of Marketing Communications, Channel Marketing & Training Teams (45%)
  • Identify, analyze, & oversee the implementation of industry-leading marketing strategies/tools for the NA market needs and opportunities.
  • Oversee the delivery of effective, measurable marketing communications.
  • Define and oversee the execution of annual marketing communication/events strategy and align with budget.
  • Guide the quarterly assessment of effectiveness of current strategy and approve, recommend, or give direction for changes in the future.
  • Lead execution of channel marketing strategy, to include product lifecycle management, pricing, discount structuring, key account programs and association engagement.
  • Participate as needed in global initiatives, coordinating closely with Central Marketing and SVP Marketing Communications Global.
  • Engage closely with key stakeholders (external/internal) cross functionally to ensure consistency in "voice of customer' representation across all activities.
  • Provide support to sales for line reviews, customer retention activities and merchandising.
  • Drive industry-leading product, technical, and selling skills training programs and facilities for internal/external customers.

Management of Equipment & Diamond Tools Product Management Team (45%)
  • Manage all strategic product related matters such as assortment strategy, price and value positioning strategy, as well as for overall operational product portfolio management.
  • Oversee the development, optimization, and determination of the Product Marketing department's working methods and processes.
  • Support and drive cooperation with other relevant departments within the organization.
  • From a customer perspective, to assist Global Product Management in anticipating the customer's future needs and translate it into product ideas that are then evaluated and prioritized for new product development.
  • Oversee North American competition and market surveillance for products, solutions and technologies.
  • Oversee coordination of product launches, roadmaps and product pipelines within the different product groups.
  • Together with Global Product Management monitor and drive sales and margin growth for products with respect to willingness to pay.
  • Attend and support global Strategic Product Portfolio Meetings and Product Focus Groups, representing the North American market.
  • Build and maintain an international network with external and internal experts and prominent players in the industry.
  • Represent HCD North America on various Global Projects.
  • Support management of Husqvarna Group Committee on Product Safety (COPS).
  • Represent HCD with regional industry organizations as required.

Administrative (10%)
  • Communicate with various internal departments as necessary
  • Monitor departments monthly expenses compared to budgets, following HCD guidelines
  • Submit personal travel expenses in a timely fashion

Critical Functional Skills & Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Global Marketing & Product guidelines
  • Working knowledge of all HCD product lines and sales channels
  • Working knowledge of HCD business dynamics
  • Strong business knowledge of the construction market
  • Knowledge of CRM, Excel, Word, AS400, etc.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide regular performance feedback and development opportunities to employees

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor degree Business/Marketing or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Marketing or Product Management leadership position with at least 2 in senior leadership role

Working Conditions
  • Ability to travel to meetings (30%), including international flights, primarily by air. Some driving travel required as well.
  • Ability to visit vendors & customers
