S³’ Agile Engineering Division (AED) supports PAE/PMO technical services for offensive and defensive fires and for PAE Aviation and PMO's.

S³, Inc. has an opening for a Vice President of Agile Engineering Division (AED) to join our executive team at our HQ in Research Park, Huntsville, AL.

There is a $15,000.00 hire-in bonus.

Description:

The VP is responsible for providing strategic level leadership to the Agile Engineering Division of S3 and provide management and strategic vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and personnel systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure its financial strength and operating efficiency.

The VP establishes the company’s missions and goals and establishes/maintains the operational culture and ethics to ensure the integrity of the operation. Functions as a member of the senior management team to formulate policies and procedures and evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s tactical and strategic plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead execution across multiple IDIQ, BPA, and task order prime contracts, sustaining exceptional CPARS ratings and durable customer relationships.
  • Own business unit P&L, delivering revenue and EBITDA targets through budget projection, cost control, and compliance with company policy and ISO requirements.
  • Plan, allocate, control, and resource personnel across all business unit programs to meet contract performance and CDRL delivery requirements.
  • Lead a Business Unit workforce of 200+ employees and 20 subcontractors, setting performance expectations and reinforcing corporate quality goals, ethics, and culture.
  • Build and qualify the business unit pipeline, and serve as capture manager on priority pursuits alongside the business unit capture team.
  • Execute a customer diversification strategy that extends the business unit beyond its current core programs and contract vehicles.
  • Recruit and place strategic hires that enable achievement of business unit growth.
Performance Expectations:
  • 10% min (20% goal) annual revenue growth, including growth from new customers.
  • Win all recompetes and minimum of 25 percent of new business bids.
  • Capture at least one new IDIQ or BPA vehicle annually.
  • Maintain a revenue mix of approximately 60 percent prime and 40 percent subcontract.
  • Sustain 97 percent CDRL schedule compliance with no unresolved customer performance issues.
  • Recruit minimum of two strategic hires annually who can support corporate growth goals.
Qualifications:
  • 25 years of experience, inclusive of 10 years PM experience managing aviation, missile, or space technical service portfolios; five years managing 200+ employees; 5 years corporate experience in a directorship or Vice President technical leadership position.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • BS or MS degree required; PhD preferred.
  • Experience managing at least 12-20 subcontractors, in support of customer requirements per contract specifications.
  • Demonstrated strength with aviation, missile, and space services programs, CONUS/OCONUS US/FMS experience is desired.
  • Must be flexible for travel to remote field site reviews, proposal support, corporate meetings, and reviews, and business development.
  • Demonstrated staff, program, and minimum of 5 years business development experience using Shipley processes
  • Knowledge and experience with Huntsville, AL, aviation, missiles, and space customers required.
  • Experience with MDA (Missile Defense Agency) is a plus
  • Clearance Requirement:Active Secret clearance required. Top Secret preferred.
