Job Title: Supply Chain Consultant
Department: Strategic Services
Supervisor: SVP, Strategic Services
Job Purpose:
The Strategic Services division of Hy-Tek Intralogistics is seeking Supply Chain Consultants to join our rapidly growing operations.
The position of Supply Chain Consultant is an entry level into the supply chain engineering/management consulting business. Projects are primarily industrial engineering-based management consulting engagements in the areas of: supply chain network strategy, distribution center & fulfillment center MHE systems planning/design/implementation, labor management systems and engineered productivity standards systems/wage incentive systems, supply chain execution technology systems (WMS), and operations excellence/lean improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide industrial engineering, supply chain engineering, and management consulting services to a wide range of clients in varying industries.
  • Projects are primarily industrial engineering-based management consulting engagements in the areas of: supply chain network strategy, distribution center & fulfillment center MHE systems planning/design/implementation, labor management systems and engineered productivity standards systems/wage incentive systems, supply chain execution technology systems (WMS, LMS, TMS), and operations excellence/lean improvement.
  • Analytical training and project work will include the use of Hy-Tek proprietary tools in space planning and modeling, operating expense and MHE Technology assessments, supply chain network optimization, and labor management systems (engineered standards development).
  • The supply chain consultant role will be primarily responsible for the development of the deliverables as defined in the project SOWs for the customer in the specified timelines. Project responsibilities can include but are not limited to: capacity modeling, financial modeling, process improvement justification, process flow development, standard operating procedure development, engineered standard creation, and other similar industrial engineering-oriented project responsibilities.
  • Support of the data analytics team to help define planning requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:
  • Minimum, preferred B.S. Industrial Engineering; will also consider B.B.A., MBA in Supply Chain Management or other relevant degrees.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Material Handling Industry.
  • Distribution and/or Fulfillment Center Operations Management experience will also be considered in lieu of industrial engineering staff work.
  • Entry level experience in supply chain work or a related field; we will consider those with experience within other types of companies.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel required, MS Access and Tableau experience is a plus.

Working Conditions:
  • Ability to travel up to 30% - 70% or as needed depending upon project type.
  • Travel to client sites and Hy-Tek offices as required.
  • Working in office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Working in a stationary position for an extended period.
  • Moving or traversing for an extended period.
  • Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA levels.
