THE TEAM:

AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with our AI based Graphic Processors. Our primary objective is to design exceptional products that drive the evolution of computing experiences, serving as the cornerstone for enterprise Data Centers, (AI) Artificial Intelligence, HPC and Embedded systems. THE ROLE:

You will be part of the Graphics Data Center and Accelerated Processing Validation team reporting to the Corporate VP of SOC/System validation. . You will get the opportunity to lead the Systems/Platform team as they collaborate with Silicon Designers/Architects, Firmware, Networking, Cluster team and SW to bring our products to market. We work with the world’s leading companies developing AI Cloud Services, on-prem AI Clusters, and Supercomputing institutions to enable AMD's GPU accelerators into their clusters. You will have the latitude to innovate and be a change leader.  Our GPU AI business is the fastest growing within the company and in the computing industry at large. This will be a very visible role which will provide you an opportunity to grow your career and interact with AMD's senior leadership team. 


Technical Leadership role responsible for leading various teams that own System Level testing, BKC delivery, and other validation functions for our next generation ML/AI/HPC products. You will lead a large worldwide team (100+) including directors, key technical leads,    and other team members. The work will require interlock with other engineering and business. The role covers SOC planning to silicon Bring-up through production. Role is a large cross-functional role requiring technical depth/breadth and strong leadership skills. In addition to test planning and execution, we are seeking a mature, seasoned leader with System and Cluster experience to help elevate our test methodologies and ability to scale. If you like pushing the envelope of what is possible and collaborate across teams to raise the bar, you will fit into our future goals. We want people who have system knowledge and experience with highly complex Clusters/Systems.

THE PERSON:

Seeking a strong technical leader who has worked in the semiconductor or systems industry with experience testing SOCs, enterprise class servers, and large-scale clusters. You enjoy developing talent and growing worldwide teams. In addition, you are a change agent with a proven record of pushing the boundary of testing and driving test innovation. You possess strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills. You thrive on collaboration and solving complex organization challenges.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience working in Silicon/System/Cluster validation
  • Experience in the ML/AI space
  • Strong knowledge of silicon/system test methodologies
  • Prior roles leading other managers and teams of 100+ people
  • Demonstrated strength in developing and growing technical teams
  • Understanding of HW/FW/SW interaction and system-level design
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability in “showing initiative” to get things done
  • Excellent communication skills including presenting to senior executives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead post-silicon validation planning & execution of System Integration testing, BKC Delivery and other test functions
  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with key engineering organizations including firmware, software, networking, cluster test,  and other validation organizations 
  • Recruit top talent to support the team's growth plans and develop the existing engineering team
  • Drive test innovation and strategic initiatives based on learning from prior programs and your own best practice knowledge
  • Partner with peers to drive quality enhancements through methodology improvements and collaboration of manufacturing testing
  • Support debug and customer interactions as required

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
