Robert Half is recruiting for a growing organization seeking an experienced Vice President of Information Technology to lead the evolution of its technology function and establish IT as a strategic business partner.

This is a highly visible executive leadership opportunity reporting directly to the CEO. The VP will lead an established IT organization of 30+ professionals and oversee infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, applications, data and analytics, and enterprise technology.

The organization has a solid IT foundation and is now looking for a strategic leader who can elevate the function, develop a long-term technology roadmap, and better align technology investments with business objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a multi-year IT strategy aligned with the organization's overall business strategy.
  • Partner directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to identify technology opportunities, risks, and investments.
  • Lead and develop a team of 30+ IT professionals through a leadership team overseeing core technology functions.
  • Establish a formal technology roadmap and improve prioritization, governance, and portfolio management.
  • Lead modernization efforts across enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, analytics, and business systems.
  • Advance the organization’s data and analytics capabilities, including business intelligence and data visualization.
  • Evaluate and implement practical opportunities involving AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Strengthen cybersecurity, technology risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery practices.
  • Manage a significant IT operating and capital budget and ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value.
  • Build strong partnerships with business leaders while maintaining operational stability and driving continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Senior IT leadership experience managing managers and a broad, multi-function technology organization.
  • Experience operating at the VP, CIO, or comparable executive leadership level.
  • Proven success developing and executing enterprise technology strategy and roadmaps.
  • Strong experience with technology modernization, enterprise applications, data/analytics, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience managing complex or legacy technology environments while developing practical modernization strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and executive communication skills, with the ability to explain technology strategy and value to non-technical leaders.
  • Experience managing significant budgets, vendors, resources, and competing priorities.
  • A collaborative, approachable leadership style with the ability to challenge the organization when necessary while building strong relationships.

Preferred Experience

  • ERP modernization or enterprise platform experience.
  • Experience with legacy ERP environments such as SAP, AS400/iSeries, or comparable platforms.
  • Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or other modern analytics technologies.
  • AI, automation, or advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Experience building or maturing an IT organization.
  • Experience navigating significant business transformation, growth, or organizational change.

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Base salary targeted around $200-275,000, plus performance-based bonus.
  • Primarily onsite executive leadership role, approximately 3-4 days per week.
  • Limited travel.
  • Direct access to the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Significant opportunity to shape the organization’s long-term technology strategy and direction.

This is an opportunity for an established technology executive to move beyond simply running IT and help define how technology, data, AI, and digital transformation contribute to the organization’s future growth.
