Position Overview
The Division Vice President - Mission Critical Operations will provide executive leadership for a division specializing in data center, mission critical, and hyperscale electrical construction projects. Reporting directly to the Senior VP of Mission Critical Operations, this leader will oversee all division functions including:
  • Operations Management
  • Preconstruction & Estimating
  • BIM/VDC Coordination
  • Program Management
  • Safety & Quality
  • Workforce Planning
  • Customer Relations
  • Financial Performance

This role is ideal for a strategic construction executive with extensive experience managing large-scale electrical operations, complex project portfolios, and high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Leadership & Operations
  • Lead daily operations for a $150M+ electrical construction division
  • Drive operational excellence, profitability, productivity, and execution
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing forecasts, resource allocation, and project planning
  • Develop and execute division business strategies and growth initiatives
  • Ensure project schedules, budgets, and quality standards are achieved

Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a culture of safety across all operations
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and company safety standards
  • Partner with Safety and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement

Financial & P&L Management
  • Manage division financial performance and profitability
  • Oversee forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and operational reporting
  • Drive revenue growth and operational efficiency initiatives

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop 200+ employees across operations and project teams
  • Foster accountability, professional development, and leadership growth
  • Support succession planning and workforce development initiatives

Customer & Business Development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and industry partners
  • Support sales strategy, competitive analysis, and new business pursuits
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns and project resolution

Preconstruction & Strategic Planning
  • Collaborate with estimating, BIM/VDC, and preconstruction teams
  • Support contract negotiations, strategic planning, and project pursuit efforts
  • Evaluate operational risks and opportunities during project development

Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of electrical construction experience
  • Minimum 5 years managing $150M+ P&L operations
  • Proven leadership experience in mission critical, hyperscale, or large commercial/industrial electrical construction

Preferred Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Technical & Leadership Skills
  • Strong understanding of NEC, construction specifications, and contract negotiation
  • Experience with:
