Our team is seeking a Vice President to join our Strategic Communications team in New York, NY or Washington DC to lead in crafting and executing cutting-edge digital strategy for clients ranging from corporate leaders to advocacy groups.

What You Will Be Doing:

Digital Specific

  • Oversees the development of high-impact integrated communications strategies and materials-including memos, decks, press releases, op-eds, speeches, social media strategy and content, paid media, data analysis and more-ensuring alignment with client objectives and audience insights.
  • Leads media strategy across multiple initiatives, leveraging relationships and insights to advance client narratives. Anticipates trends, shapes storylines, and ensures teams deliver proactive, high-impact engagement.
  • Guides teams in delivering sharp, persuasive message frameworks that drive results.

Client Management

  • Own client relationships and manage multiple large-scale projects and accounts; maintain strong, solutions-oriented partnerships with clients.
  • Leads strategic, outcome-driven initiatives with diverse stakeholders; able to solve problems with creative solutions knowing when to leverage other teams at Precision and bringing clarity to ambiguity; communicates clearly and confidently across all levels.
  • Follows Precision client management process. Ensures staff have the resources and support to exceed expectations and expand scopes. Ensures staff are delivering high quality work to clients. Keeps to the client budget.

People Management

  • Champions cross-functional collaboration across strategic communications, data, creative, and paid media teams to drive cohesive, high-impact outcomes. Commits to build knowledge across teams and share best practices.
  • Keeps the internal team updated on changes and abreast of developments (e.g. leads productive internal meetings, clearly communicates deliverables and deadlines, brings in other teams when needed). Leads effective meetings that drive results with external stakeholders.
  • Leads and manages junior staff through 1:1s, goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews; effectively manages teams during periods of change; fosters a high-morale, accountable culture; provides clear, constructive feedback.

Project Management

  • Executes complex projects from end-to-end with limited guidance and high-quality outputs (e.g. anticipates shifts in client direction and scope; crafts clear work plans, delegates effectively, and oversees project budgets).

Strategy

  • Drives the vision and execution of clear, strategic, and compelling content across complex projects. Provides senior-level guidance and editorial leadership, shaping content through mentorship and feedback that elevates overall quality.
  • Develops innovative solutions to address challenges; skilled at bringing order to chaos; has deep knowledge of Precision's full range of offerings.

Business Development

  • Lead pitches and presentations from brainstorm to delivery; drive organic growth by expanding client work and proposing new ideas; support firm marketing efforts.


What We Are Looking For:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing, ideally including in the corporate sector Direct client management experience. Prior agency experience a strong plus.
  • Experience managing and mentoring staff.
  • Experience working with multiple large clients at the same time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially about anything digital.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Creative, energetic, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.

The salary range for this role is $135,000-170,000, commensurate on experience and level.
