Job Summary:
Elsevier is a global leader in information and analytics. They are seeking a VP of Clinical Solutions Content to oversee the publishing program for Clinical Solutions content, focusing on both global and local language programs, including digital content creation and localization.
Responsibilities:
โข Oversee the Clinical Solutions publishing program across global and local portfolios, including books and digital products
โข Develop and drive content strategy, including reviewing proposals, financials, and portfolio roadmap analyses
โข Ensure a strong pipeline of strategic programs and effective content leverage across platforms
โข Monitor market dynamics and integrate best practices to maintain competitive leadership
โข Align content initiatives with broader priorities, including portfolio optimization and platform integration
โข Partner with business units to support electronic solutions, translations, and content localization
โข Optimize financial performance by managing costs, reviewing proposals, and supporting healthy gross margins
โข Track and analyze performance metrics, including financials, reporting, and operational insights
Qualifications:
Required:
โข Leadership experience managing digital content or publishing programs in a matrixed environment
โข Expertise in health-related disciplines, particularly medical reference and clinical research portfolios preferred
โข Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and business case development
โข Ability to influence and partner with stakeholders across functions and regions
โข Experience coaching and developing team members and supporting professional growth
โข High emotional intelligence and ability to work effectively across diverse cultures
