Job description

Lyndon Institute is seeking to hire a JV Head Coach for our Girls Basketball team for the upcoming 2026/2027 winter season.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates activities with regard to practice, participation in all competitions and other events as assigned by the Director of Athletics
  • Be available weekdays from 3:30 pm on (depending on practice and game times), and on weekends as needed
  • Responsible for individual and team stats per game/seasons
  • Plan and work with the Director of Athletics and the VP for External Relations and Advancement for fundraising opportunities
  • Create and work with the Director of Athletics on summer and team camps

Qualifications:
  • Must be a Vermont Principals Assoc. (VPA) certified coach and have completed all VPA-required certifications with NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) as well as CPR/AED certification
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals, rules, and regulations essential to building a successful basketball program
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of fitness and training for the sport
  • Able to work well with the coaching staff, administration, students, parents, and the community
  • Be of sound mind and judgment and have an understanding that athletics is an extension of the classroom and that we are looking for great leaders to mentor our athletes in becoming great, successful individuals in society
  • Follow and uphold all LI policies and procedures and create a team atmosphere that is built around the history and culture of LI
  • Recent successful coaching experience at the high school, college, or club level desired

Pay Range: $1,821 - $3,642 per year
