Vice President, Regional Political Campaigns & Strategy

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) seeks a Vice President, Political Campaigns and Strategy, based in Los Angeles to spearhead pro-Israel political strategies and activities. AIPAC is a registered domestic lobby whose principal mission is to work with Congress on legislation that strengthens the relationship between the United States and Israel.

Summary:

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) seeks a Vice President, Political Campaigns and Strategy, based in Los Angeles to spearhead pro-Israel political strategies and activities. AIPAC is a registered domestic lobby whose principal mission is to work with Congress on legislation that strengthens the relationship between the United States and Israel.

Detailed Duties

  • Political Campaigns & Education
  • Conduct educational briefings with candidates for federal office.
  • Serve as regional liaison between the pro-Israel community and candidates for Congress.
  • Speak at political briefings in communities throughout the region to encourage active political participation.
  • Track and analyze campaign activity through engagement with candidates, key political leaders, consultants, lay leaders, and others.
  • Provide senior-level insight to the national political team.
  • Congressional Engagement
  • Develop and manage strategy for regional congressional engagement.
  • Create and oversee a political strategy for each assigned congressional district.
  • Provide input on AIPAC PAC endorsements.
  • Political Activities
  • Provide strategic guidance for the execution or fulfillment of political commitments by AIPAC lay leaders and political fundraising goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Passion for a strong U.S.–Israel relationship and commitment to AIPAC's mission.
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of political experience (working on political campaigns or on Capitol Hill) or other relevant work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize many different projects simultaneously across several teams within the region.
  • A collaborative personal style.
  • Knowledge of Middle East current events.

AIPAC is offering a competitive market base salary between $165,000.00 and $225,000.00 for the position. A job offer within the range will depend on how closely a candidate's skills and experience match the role's requirements. AIPAC also offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that contributes to employees' overall total compensation package. We currently work remotely two days a week and in our offices the other three. AIPAC is an equal-opportunity employer.
