About us

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highlyโ€‘experienced candidate to join our team as the Permanent Senior Vice President of Accounting. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in the overall management of the company, making critical decisions that will shape the future of our financial success. This is a highโ€‘level executive position that requires a deep understanding of all aspects of accounting and finance. The Senior Vice President of Accounting will report directly to the CEO and will have significant interaction with other senior leaders, board members, and external auditors.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Overseeing all financial operations and directing corporate financial planning and structure.
  2. Coordinating, analyzing, and reporting the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections, and other special projects as required).
  3. Preparing short and longโ€‘term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
  4. Overseeing audit and tax functions, coordinating activities with outside audit firms, and reviewing firms' performance.
  5. Developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies), and other corporate policies.
  6. Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanesโ€‘Oxley compliance.
  7. Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance, and related activities.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a seniorโ€‘level finance or accounting position, preferably within the Real Estate industry.
  2. CPA certification is preferred.
  3. Prior experience as a Vice President, President, or Director is highly desirable.
  4. MBA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  5. Comprehensive understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to stakeholders.
  7. Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing and leading highโ€‘performance teams.
  8. Strong problemโ€‘solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and resultsโ€‘orientation.
  10. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP.
