Job description

The Senior Vice President, Strategic Projects serves as a senior business and operations leader responsible for driving profitable growth, operational performance, and strategic expansion across multiple offices and markets. This role has full responsibility for profit and loss performance, client relationships, business development, recruiting, proposal efforts, and overall operational execution.

This executive will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee direct reports, and ensure successful delivery of engineering and consulting services while supporting the firm's long term strategic objectives.

PRIMARY RESPONSABILITIES:
  • Lead business operations across multiple offices, markets, and service lines

  • Maintain full profit and loss accountability including revenue growth, margins, forecasting, and operational performance

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and support strategic business development efforts

  • Lead proposal strategy, pursuit planning, and major client opportunities

  • Provide executive oversight for project execution, quality, staffing, and client satisfaction

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop operational and technical leadership teams

  • Manage and support direct reports including office leaders, operations managers, and senior staff

  • Drive operational consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization

  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and organizational priorities

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred

  • Professional Engineer license preferred

  • 20+ years of leadership experience within a professional engineering, EPC, consulting, or technical services organization

  • Proven success managing profit and loss responsibility and leading multi office operations

  • Strong business development, client management, and operational leadership experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and oversee complex engineering or consulting projects

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
