Who We Need

We are seeking a Senior Vice President, Air Force to serve as the accountable leader for a business unit’s strategy, revenue, delivery, people, and profitability. This role owns the business end-to-end, operating as a “company within a company,” and is responsible for building a sustainable, high-performing organization that delivers measurable results for clients while supporting Sabel’s long-term growth objectives.

What You’ll DoTalent, Culture, and Leadership
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing organization by recruiting key talent, establishing clear roles and accountability, and fostering a strong, inclusive culture.
  • Set performance expectations, coach senior leaders, and support professional development across the business unit.
  • Cascade Sabel’s cultural initiatives throughout the business unit while providing feedback and insight into executive leadership.
Strategy and Market Planning
  • Define and execute the strategic direction of the business unit, align vision, market focus, and value proposition with corporate objectives.
  • Translate strategy into a multi-year growth roadmap with clear investment and prioritization decisions.
  • Maintain close collaboration with Sabel’s Growth organization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and communicate potential merger and acquisition opportunities to executive leadership.
Revenue Growth and Business Development
  • Own bookings, pipeline, and customer relationships to achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Set growth objectives and sales priorities, supporting or leading major capture efforts.
  • Serve as a senior representative of the organization with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Financial Management and P&L Ownership
  • Hold full accountability for profit and loss, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Manage margins, utilization, and expenses to balance growth with profitability.
  • Approve investments, hiring plans, and discretionary spending.
  • Report regularly to executive leadership on financial performance, risks, and deviations from operating plans.
Delivery Excellence and Client Success
  • Establish delivery standards, governance, and resourcing models.
  • Intervene on at-risk programs to protect client relationships and financial outcomes.
  • Ensure work is delivered on schedule, within scope, and in alignment with contractual and quality expectations.
  • Communicate delivery risks, issues, and successes across the organization and to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years in AF, DoD business delivery, systems/digital engineering, or advanced technology programs.
  • Must possess an active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Proven experience leading a business unit, portfolio, or major program with full P&L responsibility in a government services or consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of revenue growth, margin management, pipeline development, and multi‑year strategic planning.
  • Strong operational leadership skills, including resource management, program execution, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Ability to transform strategic vision into actionable business plans that align with corporate objectives.
  • Experience in DoD or Federal Government contracting environments.
  • Proven success leading strategy, revenue growth, and delivery in a professional services or government contracting environment.
  • Ability to partner with Business Development, solutioning and delivery teams to shape opportunities.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience evaluating or integrating mergers and acquisitions.
  • Deep understanding of Air Force organizational structures, missions, acquisition processes, and budgeting cycles with an existing network across key Air Force stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in a small-to-midsize government contractor environment.
