Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising, coaching and guidance to the hourly employees in the Quality Assurance, Mixing, Spray Drying and Packing departments. Promptly reports any problems in the daily processing of products to the Plant Superintendent, VP-Ops or designee. Refers employees with any job-related problems to the Plant Superintendent, VP-Ops or designee.
Responsible for meeting or exceeding the written specifications for all production processes and products through the monitoring of daily reports, raw material usage, packaging material usage and employee activity. Recommends changes or improvements when necessary.
Supervises all activity relating to the proper cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and other areas of the facility to include restrooms, breakrooms and offices within the facility.
Responsible for directing and coordinating the activities in the production departments based on the production schedule prepared by the VP-OPS or designee.
Obtains competitive quotes from reputable and quality vendors when pricing for goods and/or services.
Communicates with support departments on areas affecting the overall performance of the facility.
Assists in daily attendance monitoring through the use of green absence cards and/or other attendance controls.
Assists in the training of operation of production and cleaning equipment.
Assists in enforcing company policies and regulations.
Assist with operating equipment and other daily requirements to maintain production output n order to support customer demands.
Training employees to perform their designated task in alignment with GMP, FDA and USDA guidelines, policies and procedures.
Work directly with employees and staff to trouble shoot root cause for long term solutions and improvements within the facility.
Job Requirements:

Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively through out entire shift.
Ability to climb portable ladders and climb steps/stairs several times during shift.
Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, lifting, climbing, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Ability to work as team member and meet assigned deadlines.
Work comfortably in a fast paced environment.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Follow safety standards and GMP practices while working with multiple services, tools, and equipment.
Perform any and all other duties as instructed by the Plant Superintendent, Maintenance Superintendent, VP of Ops (or designee), or any other management staff respectfully.
Maintain attendance record above the standard and lead by example.
Mandatory Job Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing experience required.
Food processing experience preferred.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
