Purpose: The Product Specialist will work as part of a team for the Product Development and Global Sourcing Department. Product Specialist is responsible for assisting Agri-Fab in achieving profitable and sustainable growth by executing the direction of new and existing product line development based on PAC group direction. Supports development and provides detailed analysis of the market and customer & consumer feedback to PAC team as directed.

Essential Functions:

Product Management/ECR/OEM

  • Leads a cross-functional team to successfully launch new products on time and within budget.
  • Manages Pre-Builds / Stage-Gate Process 4-6 (ECR, Stage-Gate, and OEM projects)...Adheres to the following steps on a new project plan, but not limited to the following steps:

Stage 4 - Testing & Validation

  • Order Engineering Component Samples (includes lead time to receive)
  • Order Electrical Component Samples (includes lead time to receive)
  • Final unit build (Two Units)
  • Electrical and Mechanical circuit Board (Developmental & Environmental) testing
  • Final Design Testing (Two units to be tested)

  • Analyze product costing and provides cost compares to Controller and VP of Sales and Marketing for pricing development
  • Initiate timetable for development of new products & cost improvement products to meet Go To market dates
  • Prior to pre-builds will populate Assembly/Warehouse/Paint document to aid pulling parts for pre-builds
  • Lead pre-build to minimize production/development problems and determine product needs
  • Effectively work with other members of the extended product development team in gathering ideas and prioritizing product features.
  • Member of the product test group learn results of new / updated product testing & helps with prioritizing new /updated product testing to keep project plans on schedule
  • Maintaining Vehicle and/or Product Spreadsheet/Fit up sheet for Zero Turns, sharing updates with Marketing team to update QR code and Website
  • Dealer visit for product fit-ups for OEM Mounted Attachments
  • Works closely with Sales/Marketing team for support in development of all Agri-Fab Marketing materials
  • Works closely with ProductDevelopment and Global Sourcing Manager, Director of Engineering, and VP of Sales and Marketing for NPR development.
  • Works in and uploads documents for approvals in Stanley Black and Decker and other customer portals for Product Development process Licensing Approvals
  • Facilitates weekly Costing Meeting
  • Facilitates weekly PRM (product road map) Meeting
  • Updates and edits PRM database, attends ECR meetings and provides updates in RA meeting, and enters ECR and updates Footprints within different Footprint categories
  • Creation of LCS (Label Location & Color Specification) Document for new products, edits to current LCS documents, or created LCS document for exiting products that do not have LCS documents
  • Works closely with cross functional team on Manufactured PPAP approval and Purchased PPAPs
  • Works closely with Product Development and Global Sourcing Manager and outside vendors on turnkey projects
  • Assist Product Development and Global Sourcing Manager with sending out updated prints to overseas vendors
  • Additional duties as assigned by Product Development and Global Sourcing Manager
