As Vice President, Lead Software Engineer, you will lead large-scale transformation initiatives, influence enterprise technology strategy, and oversee the delivery of innovative solutions across a complex and evolving technology landscape. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing engineering organization, champion AI-assisted software development practices, and shape the future of cloud-native, event-driven platforms that support key business operations. You'll collaborate with executive leaders, business partners, architects, and engineering teams to drive technology innovation, operational excellence, and measurable business outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Define and execute multi-year technology roadmaps supporting Corporate Actions, Class Actions, and Securities Lending platforms.

  • Lead modernization initiatives transitioning legacy systems to cloud-native, API-first, service-oriented, and event-driven architectures.

  • Establish architecture and engineering standards focused on scalability, resiliency, security, observability, and operational excellence.

  • Drive adoption of modern technologies including .NET, Angular, AWS, Kafka, microservices, enterprise integration patterns, and data platforms.

  • Champion AI-assisted software engineering practices across the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, documentation, automation, and production support.

  • Lead delivery of enterprise applications, advisor-facing solutions, APIs, cloud platforms, and strategic integrations.

  • Partner with senior business leaders, product management, operations teams, architects, and external vendors to align technology investments with business objectives.

  • Lead technology evaluations, proof-of-concepts, vendor assessments, and modernization initiatives involving both vendor and internally developed platforms.

  • Establish and oversee engineering excellence practices including DevSecOps, CI/CD, quality engineering, reliability engineering, security, and observability.

  • Monitor and drive engineering performance through key operational, delivery reliability, quality, and productivity metrics.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, talent development, succession planning, and organizational growth across distributed engineering teams.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and client-focused delivery.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, including progressive leadership responsibility within enterprise technology organizations.

  • Experience leading large-scale modernization, digital transformation, and enterprise technology delivery programs.

  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud technologies, distributed systems, API and microservices architecture, DevSecOps practices, and modern software engineering methodologies.

  • Experience leading large engineering organizations, cross-functional teams, and strategic technology initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and vendor partners.

  • Experience communicating technology strategy, delivery plans, and business outcomes to executive leadership and senior stakeholders.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $170,800.00 - $284,600.00. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
