A leading investment management firm is seeking a Vice President of Finance to oversee the financial operations, risk management, and strategic planning of its portfolio. This role requires deep expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on optimizing liquidity, leverage, and overall financial performance. The VP will play a critical role in driving strategic decisions, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the company’s financial health. Compensation includes a competitive salary and a discretionary performance-based bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy & Planning:

    • Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies to support business goals.

    • Oversee portfolio diversification efforts to align with long-term financial objectives.

    • Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate financial resilience and identify growth opportunities.

  • Financial Operations & Reporting:

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for stakeholders, including equity partners and lenders.

    • Manage the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.

    • Perform in-depth financial analyses and modeling to support investment decisions and strategic planning.

  • Liquidity & Capital Management:

    • Oversee capital calls and distributions to equity partners, ensuring timely and efficient processes.

  • Leverage & Risk Management:

    • Monitor leverage levels and maintain compliance with financial covenants and lender requirements.

    • Develop and manage tools to track covenant compliance and project leverage needs across the portfolio.

    • Evaluate and optimize capital structures to maximize returns while mitigating financial risks.

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with executive leadership on financial strategies and risk management initiatives.

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to finance team members, fostering professional growth.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial operations with organizational goals.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, portfolio management, or a related field, with a preference for backgrounds in real estate, private equity, or private credit.

  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as an MBA, CPA, or CFA are highly preferred.

  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and liquidity management.

  • Strong understanding of leverage, capital allocation, and financial risk management.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.

  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel modeling.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
