Summary

This Vice President - Process role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end solar cell technology development and manufacturing process execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The position drives operational excellence, process strategy, continuous improvement, team leadership, project execution, budget management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration to support solar cell manufacturing growth at the Greenwood, SC facility.

Responsibilities
  • Drive operational excellence and scale manufacturing process capabilities to meet the growing demands of the renewable energy market.
  • Employ continuous improvement methodologies to engage teams to improve internal productivity, project value engineering, and increase manufacturing plant performance, cost, and schedule reductions. Key items to be addressed will include reviewing product lifecycle processes, eliminating rework, reducing and automating manual work and business unit handoffs, identifying and implementing best practices, and increasing quality and reducing costs through standardization and automation.
  • Lead and manage the execution of solar cell R&D from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
  • Build and lead a high-performing manufacturing process team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Develop and implement process strategies aligned with company goals, and stay current on industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery and exceed customer expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage and optimize project budgets, working closely with finance teams to meet financial objectives.
  • Implement and uphold rigorous quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • MS in Electronics or Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • 9 years’ experience in job offer or 9 years as an Engineering Manager or Engineering Director in solar manufacturing
