Fueling Success in this Role:

VP Racing is seeking a full-time Commercial Truck Driver based out of Newark, Delaware. This role is responsible for the safe and secure transportation of fuel products to scheduled destinations, supporting the logistics that power VP's racing and performance operations. More than just a driving position, this role puts you at the center of the action. You'll travel to high-energy race tracks and performance events across the country, providing full-service fuel operations on-site overnight and weekends. From delivery and setup to fueling race vehicles and supporting event logistics, you'll play a key role in bringing the VP brand to life where it matters most.

In addition to delivering, picking up, and relocating fuel and materials, you'll maintain vehicle cleanliness and logs, ensure compliance with DOT and company safety requirements, and deliver exceptional customer service to our partners in the racing world. Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must be extremely organized and able to manage the logistics of multiple duties with professionalism and strong communication skills. In addition, strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in the role, as are high levels of accuracy, timeliness and dependability. We are looking for someone who can establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization, work effectively with all levels of employees and management, and assist in providing solutions to challenges that arise.   • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid CDL license and medical card
  • HAZMAT and tanker endorsements preferred (or willing to obtain within 30 days)
  • Must meet all DOT, OSHA, and company-specific certification requirements

Requirements

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Valid CDL License and medical card required.
  • Current HAZMAT endorsement preferred or can be obtained within 30 days.
  • Current tanker endorsement preferred or can be obtained within 30 days.
  • Must maintain all required certifications/ endorsements required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs.


PREFERRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times.
  • Ability to make overnight runs as required by shipping needs.
  • Must be able to learn to operate all Material Handling Equipment used by the company.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.


EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or one (1) year relevant experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, driving, and MHE operations.
  • Heavy lifting required.
  • Must be able to work in severe weather conditions; both heat and cold.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • May be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils.
