Description
The successful candidate will lead, assign capture responsibilities, maintain up-to-date status of all captures, develop/oversee, and respond to RFIs/SSNs/draft RFPs, oversee all Shipley capture phases and personally lead a number of large/complex captures. The Vice President of Capture supervises a high performing Capture team of senior and junior capture managers. The Vice President of Capture will assist with the account planning and pipeline process for designated agencies and lines of business. The Vice President of Capture Management will assist with developing plans and monetizing GWACs/IDIQs in their portfolio. This is a high visibility, dynamic, key senior leadership position within the Business Development organization and the successful candidate will have the potential to have a significant impact on the growth of the company.
The Vice President of Capture Management manages the capture process and leads growth efforts across all corporate portfolios/accounts. The Vice President of Capture Management also leads major capture efforts consisting of opportunity identification, developing pipelines, teaming strategies, gap analyses, capture plans, gate reviews, blue team, black hat, customer engagement as well as assisting throughout the proposal process. The Vice President of Capture Management leads the overall capture process for SAIC and leads a weekly capture meeting with everyone associated with capturing contract opportunities.
Qualifications
Active or Current TS/SCI
- 18+ years of capture or business development experience managing the capture of federal contract opportunities
- 5+ years of direct supervisory experience to include mentoring, setting and monitoring specific goals, and holding employees accountable for their performance
- 5+ years of experience capturing and managing GWACs and/or Agency-Specific IDIQs
- 10+ years of experience building an account or sector within assigned agencies that align with Amyx's customer set
- Must be well organized and be able to develop detailed plans and follow processes consistently
- Must be able and willing to jump right in and work a significant capture
- Must understand and have successfully implemented a go-to-market strategy based on a company's addressable market
- Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple high-priority tasks... must be responsive to tasks/requests
- Must be able to work independently and remotely given the current operating environment (as needed)
- Must be willing to learn corporate processes and be able to adapt to a high-performing, team-oriented work environment
- Must be able to work professionally with counterparts
Desired Skills:
- Shipley BD and/or Capture training
- 10+ years of operational experience managing projects or commensurate experience as a military officer or government civilian managing programs/projects at a headquarters staff
- Highly effective communicator (writing, speaking and listening)
- Teamwork oriented... possess the willingness and ability to work as a team
