Job Description :

Under the oversight of the system Vice President of Health Informatics, the Director of Health Informatics is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the acute and specialty services applications, ensuring clinical workflows, system functionality, and informatics solutions effectively support patient care, provider efficiency, and organizational goals. The Director is accountable for ongoing EHR optimizations, including clinical content development, EHR support and maintenance, implementation of programs that hold clinicians accountable for standardized EHR workflows, and providing leadership to informatics staff on special projects. The Director is also responsible for establishing programs that effectively lead the organization through EHR enterprise-wide change management.

The Director will lead the Health Informatics Epic Radiant, OpTime/Anesthesia, ASAP, Cupid and other teams as assigned, and serve as the primary liaison between clinical staff, operational leaders, and the health informatics Epic Applications teams, Clinical Data Management team, Epic Training team, and IT teams. The Director must be effective in leading multidisciplinary teams through the planning, development, and implementation of EHR features and optimization projects. The Director will collaborate with the Vice President of Health Informatics, to offer focused effort on prioritizing projects, setting expectations for implementation timelines, ensuring optimal end-user experience, and requiring compliance with system-defined EHR workflows. The Director will collaborate with the Director of Clinical Applications and Decision Support on department initiatives and cross-team initiatives.
