Job description

LHH is seeking a Vice President of Operations for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located near Carmel, Indiana. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing organization that is investing in operational excellence, leadership development, and scalable processes to support future expansion. You will play a critical role in driving operational performance, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and developing high-performing teams. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $150,000-200,000 per year plus 30% bonus and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct all business operations, review/revise standard operation procedures, prepare and maintain operations budget, and lead strategic planning meetings to ensure the achievement of company KPIs.
  • Ensure all departments are operating effectively, encouraging collaboration, and adhering to business quality standards.
  • Provide strategic leadership across operations, supply chain, maintenance, and continuous improvement functions.
  • Develop and execute strategies supporting growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, engagement, teamwork, and operational excellence.
  • Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and eliminate operational waste.
  • Strengthen planning, scheduling, inventory, and capacity management processes.
  • Oversee supplier performance, material availability, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Improve operational throughput, asset utilization, and working capital performance.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Develop leadership talent through coaching, mentorship, and succession planning.
  • Lead capital improvement projects and operational scalability efforts.
  • Utilize data-driven decision making to achieve measurable business results.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related discipline is required
  • Minimum of 10+ years of operations leadership experience within an industrial manufacturing industry is required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience at the Plant Management and/or Director-level is required
  • Must have the ability to drive Lean initiatives, process improvements, and measurable operational results
  • Ideal candidate will have experience utilizing ERP and operational management systems
  • Ideal candidate will have experience supporting planning, scheduling, and inventory optimization processes
  • Must possess a strong business acumen with the ability to balance operational and financial objectives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple functions
