Job description

Solutions for Financial Intermediaries is a business within Global Investor Sales that is responsible for the sales of Capital Markets products to retail financial intermediaries including private banks, broker dealers, consumer bank and registered investment advisers. These Capital Markets products include structured notes issued by Citi and OTC derivatives, which have very specific requirements with respect to pricing, structuring, settlement and post-trade lifecycle management. We are looking for an VP/AVP level Salesperson with existing Retail Client relationships and client coverage experience. The salesperson will focus on covering RIA clients directly and through wholesaling relationships. The ideal candidate should have:
  • a proven track record in servicing retail financial intermediaries
  • a good knowledge of all the segments targeted by the desk
  • a strong understanding of derivatives and of the various products issued in North America
  • strong analytical skills and the ability to proactively develop and improve client relationships as well as the overall client experience when dealing with Citi.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively reach out to current RIA clients, wholesaling partners and potential prospects to market product ideas and to generate new leads.
  • Develop existing client relationships and onboard new ones.
  • Price and execute transactions.
  • Interact with structuring, trading, legal and other relevant teams to constantly improve the platform
  • Offer a high-quality level of service/ experience to existing and new clients of Retail Cross Asset Solutions
  • Work with the entire sales team on servicing our Platinum and Priority Clients to ensure we meet targets
  • Collaborate with the Client Management team to develop proper wallet data for our client base.

Qualifications
  • At least 4 years capital markets experience in retail structured products and OTC Derivatives
  • Strong track record of managing client relationships and consistently generating revenue
  • Strong drive to identify and drive new product and client opportunities
  • Good understanding of the retail competitive landscape
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Bloomberg
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Superior quantitative / problem-solving skills
  • In depth knowledge of the products, clients and business dynamics (flow derivatives, indices, single-stock, exotics, multi asset equity derivative products)
  • Strong experience with derivative pricing and model experience
  • Self-motivated, innovative, results-oriented individual
  • Highly organized individual with special attention to detail
  • Strong time management / prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines at any given time
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment, and to interact professionally with other departments.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) - ideally in Business, Finance or Engineering.
