What You Will Do:

The APP Medical Relations Director serves as the national reference point for healthcare professionals across both the pediatric and dermatology care channels - including Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Pediatric Residents, and Pharmacists. Working in close partnership with the VP of Medical Relations, this role combines clinical expertise, medical education, and strategic relationship development to strengthen engagement between these professional communities and L'Oreal Dermatological Beauty's brands - CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, and Vichy - while fostering evidence-based skincare advocacy across both channels.

  • Elevates brand credibility through clinically grounded engagement across both the APP pediatric and dermatology professional communities - two of the most influential channels in skincare recommendation.
  • Expands reach and loyalty among professionals who collectively shape skincare decisions for patients of all ages, from pediatrics through adult care.
  • Strengthens insight flow between the field and corporate teams across dual channels, enabling data-driven strategy, product innovation, and optimized investment.
  • Differentiates L'Oreal Dermatological Beauty as a committed partner to both the pediatric and dermatology healthcare communities, fostering long-term advocacy and sustainable brand growth.
  • Amplifies the impact of the AVP of Pediatrics & Strategic Partnerships and Dermatology through expert, integrated national field execution across two high-priority channels.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Relationship Management

  • Develop and execute a national engagement strategy across both the pediatric and dermatology healthcare ecosystems, building meaningful relationships with Pediatricians, NPs/PAs, Residents, and Pharmacists in clinical, academic, and community settings.
  • Serve as the company's primary liaison to pediatric and dermatology professional organizations, residency programs, and pharmacy networks - including AAP, AAD, SDPA, NAPNAP, and APhA.
  • Partner with the AVPs to align field engagement across both channels with broader organizational strategy and priorities.

Thought Leader Development

  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain a diverse national KOL network spanning both the pediatric and dermatology APP communities.
  • Facilitate participation in advisory boards, speaker programs, and peer-to-peer educational initiatives that involve APPs across both channels.
  • Develop mentorship and recognition pathways for emerging thought leaders, including pediatric and dermatology APPs and early-career NPs/PAs.

Medical Education & Scientific Exchange

  • Design and deliver channel-specific clinical education sessions highlighting the research, safety, and efficacy of CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, and Vichy across both pediatric and dermatology APP practice settings.
  • Develop content tailored to each professional audience - from evidence-based clinical outcomes to practical skincare guidance for NPs/PAs, to OTC product recommendations for Pharmacists.
  • Support APP speaker training and ensure scientific messaging consistency and compliance across all materials in both channels.

Clinical Insight Generation

  • Serve as a strategic conduit between the APP pediatric and dermatology healthcare communities and internal teams, translating field insights into actionable strategies.
  • Report regularly on emerging clinical trends, unmet needs, and opportunities within both channels to inform product innovation, messaging, and educational initiatives.
  • Provide the VP with data-driven field intelligence to support dual-channel planning and investment decisions.

Conference, Event & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Represent the company at key APP pediatric and dermatology meetings and conferences, including AAP, AAD, NAPNAP, SDPA, APhA, and relevant residency training events.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, and Training teams to align messaging and develop scientific resources, training modules, and digital educational tools across both channels.
  • Support the VP in dual-channel strategy execution, KOL mapping, and professional organization partnerships.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pediatric or Dermatology NP/PA, or Pharmacist with 8-10+ years of clinical experience in pediatric, dermatology, or primary care settings; dual experience across both specialties strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of APP pediatric and dermatology clinical practice, skincare science, and therapeutic decision-making across diverse professional roles.
  • Proven ability to engage, educate, and influence clinical peers across multiple healthcare professional segments and specialties.
  • Experience in medical education, KOL development, or advisory board facilitation preferred.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Passion for advancing skin health across the lifespan and empowering healthcare professionals as evidence-based skincare advocates.

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Travel: Up to 40%-50% travel required (field visits, advisory boards, and scientific congresses).
  • Physical: Ability to lift and transport promotional/educational materials up to 25 pounds.
