The Role:

The VP of North American Agriculture Sales and Marketing, reporting to the Agriculture Group President and a member of the Agriculture Leadership Team, will be responsible for leading a team of sales and marketing professionals that will drive the profitable growth strategies for both Banjo and KZValve brands, through partnerships with OEM's and development of various channels. This encompasses robust customer and market development, a keen sense of distributions' role, leveraging pricing strategies, and efficient use of digital marketing and data analysis to drive highly intimate and relevant customer experiences. Success will be measured through achieving financial and operational metrics, customer requirements, along with a highly profitable growth trajectory through mastery of 80/20 and leveraging of the IDEX Operating Model. It is expected that the leader creates a positive, collaborative, and inclusive culture with a priority on building and developing high performing teams. The leader will embody the IDEX core values of Trust, Team and Excellence.

This position reports into the President for Agriculture and can be located remotely in the USA (in relevant agriculture areas) or in the Crawfordsville, IN or Greenwood, NE locations.

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead the NA Sales and Marketing Team to identify and execute profitable growth opportunities.
  • Create intimate, relevant customer experiences with OEM's and users through digital marketing, relationship management and channel development. Develop and deploy meaningful, consistent VOC and customer scorecards to focus and improve commercial performance.
  • Understand, define and develop a multi-faceted, value added channel strategy with partnerships that are extensions of the Banjo/KZValve customer experience.
  • Generate a well-defined, value-based, pricing strategy that drives continuous margin expansion while increasing customer usefulness.
  • Provide impactful data analytics and market insights to business leadership to assist in strategic business development, lead generation and sales strategies.
  • Enable sustainable growth using foundational, repeatable commercial process measured by KPI's.
  • Link digital marketing, data analytics and operational processes to maximize efficiencies.
  • As a senior leader, cultivate a strong culture of customer obsession, always keeping customer central to our focus.
  • Craft IDEX Agriculture Group's strategic and annual operation plans through collaboration with Innovation, Strategic Marketing, Operation and Global Teams derived from a vigorous knowledge of markets, trends, competition and technology as it relates to our vision and capabilities.
  • Act as a key contributor to Sales Operations, including SIOP process with demand forecasts from sales team and other incoming customer intelligence.
  • As a senior leader, operate as a highly engaged, steward of the business' goals, actions and reputation.

With a proven servant leadership style, the VP of North American Agriculture Sales and Marketing is expected to attract, develop, motivate and lead a high performance team while furthering a collaborative culture and ensuring the core values of the company are upheld. The current NA Sales and Marketing team consists of OEM Account Managers, a Channel Director who leads Distribution Sales Managers, Marketing Communications and a Customer Experience Director that leads customer service and our digital initiatives. Additionally, these groups are supported by applications engineers and technical support based both remotely and in the Crawfordsville office. The Vice President will identify and develop required competencies for success and will enable a commercial and growth mindset and actions on the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Sales and Marketing Management experience in the Agriculture industry is required
  • Demonstrated expertise in B2B sales with strong involvement in diverse channels and go-to-market strategies
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
  • Strong understanding of digitalization of marketing and sales operations and CRM system optimization
  • Acute business and financial acumen
  • Prior experience operating within a manufacturing company
  • Results driven with high personal and team accountability
  • Strong analytic skills leading to business and strategic insights
  • Influential communication / negotiation skills
  • Experience driving results through servant leadership and development of a highly-engaged team
