We are seeking a Vice President of Information Technology to join our team who will define and execute a forward-looking technology roadmap that strengthens guest experience, associate productivity, operational excellence, revenue growth, and enterprise scalability. Reporting to the Division President, the Vice President IT partners with division and corporate leadership to modernize legacy platforms, integrate data across the hospitality ecosystem, advance responsible use of AI and automation, and ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value. This role servers as a member of the division's Senior Leadership Team and acts as a strategic advisor on technology-enabled growth, risk, innovation, and transformation.

What you will be doing:

  • Establish and lead the technology and digital transformation strategy for Marcus Hotels & Resorts, ensuring alignment with division priorities, enterprise standards, brand positioning, and long-term business growth.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the President, Senior Leadership Team, property leaders, and corporate technology leadership on technology investments, operating model improvements, guest-facing innovation, and enterprise risk.

  • Drive digital capabilities that improve the end-to-end guest journey.

  • Modernize the hospitality technology ecosystem, including property management, point-of-sale, CRM, infrastructure, and back-office systems.

  • Work with the corporation's data and AI enablement team to improve decision-making, revenue performance, operational forecasting, labor productivity, and executive reporting.

  • Advance responsible adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, automation and cloud platforms.

  • Partner with corporate cybersecurity and compliance leaders to maintain strong security governance, PCI compliance, SOX controls and business continuity readiness.

  • Create and maintain a prioritized technology portfolio that balances guest impact, operational value, risk reduction and return on investment.

  • Lead technology & entrepreneurial programs from business case through adoption.

  • Build a high-performing technology organization with a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Oversee vendor strategy, contract negotiations and service-level performance across the division's technology portfolio.

  • Develop annual property technology budgets detailing both, operating and capital budgets.

  • Support due diligence and integration planning for new hotels, acquisitions, management agreements, renovations, and brand or franchise technology requirements.

  • Ensure reliable day-to-day technology operations and responsive support for properties, the corporate office, associates and guests.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • 15 years of progressive technology leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility for technology strategy, digital transformation, infrastructure, and business-facing technology delivery.

  • 10 years of experience leading technology teams, preferably in hospitality, travel or other multi-unit guest-facing environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology, business, or equivalent executive experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps, investment priorities, operating models, and measurable outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of hospitality technology platforms.

  • Proven ability to manage complex portfolios, capital and operating budgets and executive communications.

  • Executive presence with excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to lead through influence, build trusted relationships, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented business.

  • High ethical standards and a commitment to compliance with all policies, procedures, security expectations, and values of Marcus Hotels & Resorts and The Marcus Corporation.

  • This role requires an executive presence at our corporate headquarters. Candidates should be located within commuting distance or open to relocation.
