Salary: $75,000 – $150,000 per year (based on experience)

Position Summary

The Ghoman Group is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Vice President – Construction to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction and renovation projects. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing construction operations, managing project teams, developing budgets, ensuring quality and safety standards, and driving operational excellence across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in commercial construction management, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for all construction operations.

  • Oversee multiple commercial construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects from pre-construction through completion.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve project efficiency, profitability, and quality.

  • Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, estimators, and construction staff.

  • Establish project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.

  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.

  • Review contracts, bid proposals, project schedules, and change orders.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks while resolving complex construction challenges.

  • Monitor financial performance, project costs, forecasting, and profitability.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, building codes, and company safety standards.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term growth strategies and business development initiatives.

  • Support contract negotiations and participate in client presentations and project planning meetings.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a senior management or executive role.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, project management, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.

  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-project construction portfolios.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency with construction management software, Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.

  • Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing project budgets and organizational performance.

  • Ability to travel as needed to project sites.
