Position Overview

Concentric Corporation is partnering with a well-established, family-owned real estate development and construction organization to identify an experienced Vice President of Construction to lead and scale construction operations across a growing portfolio of multifamily developments throughout the Midwest.

This organization is a nationally recognized Top 30 developer within its sector and operates with a vertically integrated business model, including an in-house construction division.Their portfolio is primarily focused on multifamily community developments across Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas, with significant expansion planned throughout the region over the next several years.

This executive leadership role is ideal for a proven construction leader who thrives in a growing organization and enjoys building teams, improving operations, and creating scalable processes. The Vice President of Construction will provide strategic direction while remaining closely connected to day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.


Location: Lincoln, NE | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership for multiple multifamily construction projects across various stages of development and construction
  • Lead construction operations, including project management, field operations, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution
  • Develop and implement operational systems, processes, and reporting structures that support continued organizational growth
  • Evaluate and optimize organizational structure, staffing, and resource allocation across construction teams
  • Develop strategies around self-performing work versus outsourced general contracting while building the teams and processes to support both models
  • Drive accountability, consistency, and operational excellence across project management and field leadership teams
  • Oversee construction budgets, forecasting, cost controls, scheduling, and overall project performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners while expanding trade networks into new markets
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership, development, finance, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery and long-term scalability
  • Support regional expansion efforts by identifying and developing new subcontractor and trade partner relationships
  • Mentor and develop construction leaders while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, innovative construction practices, and operational efficiencies
  • Ensure all projects meet company standards for quality, safety, schedule, and financial performance
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive construction leadership experience, including executive or senior operational leadership
  • Required experience managing multifamily construction projects (commercial-only experience will not be considered)
  • Proven success leading multiple concurrent projects across multiple geographic markets
  • Experience building, scaling, and improving construction operations, systems, and organizational processes
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and operational performance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing construction teams
  • Strong subcontractor, vendor, and trade partner relationship management experience
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered
