This leader serves as the critical bridge between Insight's North American sales organization and its technical delivery capabilities - ensuring that every client engagement is grounded in architecturally sound, business-aligned solutions. The VP of Architecture partners closely with regional Services Sales Directors, Market Development Executive (MDE) teams, and Insight's broader go-to-market leadership to drive services-led pipeline, accelerate deal velocity, and elevate Insight's position as a trusted solutions partner across the continent.

  • Define organizational structure, resource allocation models, and coverage strategies to ensure presales capacity aligns with regional sales demand and growth priorities.
  • Develop career paths, technical certification strategies, and skills roadmaps to ensure the Architecture team stays ahead of evolving technology trends at scale.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, technical readiness assessments, and leadership development for direct reports and regional architecture leaders.

Presales Strategy & Solution Design
  • Own the presales technical strategy for Insight's North American Infrastructure organization, ensuring architecturally sound and commercially viable solutions are brought to every client engagement.
  • Partner with regional Services Sales Directors and MDE teams to qualify opportunities, shape deal strategy, and deliver compelling technical proposals and presentations across all markets.
  • Drive the development of repeatable solution frameworks, reference architectures, and reusable assets across all five solution areas to accelerate time-to-proposal and ensure consistency across regions.
  • Establish standards of excellence for solution design, scoping accuracy, and technical proposal quality across the North American Architecture team.
  • Ensure all proposed solutions align with Insight's outcome-based services approach - translating technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes for clients.

Client Engagement & Executive Presence
  • Serve as a senior technical executive in client-facing engagements, building trusted advisor relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and senior IT leadership at Insight's most strategic North American accounts.
  • Lead architectural workshops, discovery sessions, and whiteboarding engagements for enterprise and strategic accounts.

  • Align with Insight's North American sales leadership, including Area VPs and General Managers, to ensure presales architecture resources are strategically deployed against the highest-value opportunities.
  • Work closely with Field Marketing, Solutions Marketing, and Product teams to contribute to thought leadership content, client-facing collateral, and demand generation initiatives.
  • Provide technical input and executive sponsorship on major proposals, RFP responses, and strategic pursuits across all North American regions.

Innovation, Strategy & Market Intelligence
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends across cloud, security, AI/automation, managed services, and networking/IoT/edge - translating market shifts into actionable presales strategies at a continental scale.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities where Insight can develop new solution offerings or expand existing capabilities to meet emerging client needs across diverse North American markets.

  • Contribute to Insight's broader infrastructure solutions roadmap by synthesizing field-level intelligence on client demand patterns, competitive positioning, and technology adoption trends from across all regions.
  • Champion innovation within the Architecture organization, encouraging proof-of-concept development, lab environments, and internal hackathon-style initiatives that can be scaled nationally.
