Job Summary:

The Vice President of Teledyne Advanced Electronic Solutions (TAES) is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational excellence, and financial performance of the business. The Vice President provides executive oversight for all aspects of engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, business development, program execution, and employee engagement while ensuring alignment with Teledyne's strategic objectives and customer commitments.

TAES provides complex electronics manufacturing solutions, including surface mount technology (SMT), circuit card assembly, module integration, box-build assembly, test solutions, and advanced manufacturing services supporting defense, aerospace, government, and commercial customers.

The Vice President serves as the senior site leader and drives growth, operational efficiency, innovation, customer satisfaction, and long-term value creation while fostering a culture of safety, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Detailed Description:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision and operating plan for TAES.
  • Lead business growth initiatives consistent with Teledyne's objectives and market priorities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within defense, aerospace, government, and commercial sectors.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation and technology investment strategies that enhance competitive positioning.

Business and Financial Management

  • Assume full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for the business.
  • Develop annual operating plans, budgets, and strategic growth forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement actions to achieve revenue, profitability, cash flow, and productivity goals.
  • Ensure effective cost management and operational efficiency throughout the organization.
  • Present business performance updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Operations and Manufacturing Leadership

  • Provide executive oversight of manufacturing operations, production planning, engineering, supply chain, quality, and facilities.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations across all business functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Enhance manufacturing capacity, productivity, quality performance, and delivery execution.

  • Lead strategic business development efforts to grow revenue and expand market presence.

Requirements:

Required Education

  • Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible leadership experience within aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Minimum 10 years of executive or senior leadership experience with P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex manufacturing and engineering organizations.
  • Experience managing government and commercial customer relationships.
  • Proven record of business growth, operational improvement, and organizational development.
