Job description

AXG is partnered with a global producer and distributor of industrial chemicals seeking a Customer Supply Chain Specialist. With large-scale production assets and a global logistics network, the company specializes in bulk liquid chemical supply via rail, vessel, barge, and terminal infrastructure.


The Customer Supply Specialist oversees end-to-end logistics for key accounts, ensuring seamless, on-time product delivery. This role serves as the operational bridge between customers, terminals, transportation providers, and internal teams, driving accurate execution and proactive issue resolution.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage end-to-end order execution within ERP systems (Oracle preferred), including shipment confirmation and documentation
  • Coordinate rail, vessel, and terminal activity to ensure uninterrupted product supply
  • Monitor and reconcile terminal inventory; support month-end close processes
  • Track and trace shipments, proactively address delays, and develop contingency plans
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries, shipment issues, and operational escalations
  • Analyze forecast changes and collaborate cross-functionally to maintain inventory targets
  • Support continuous improvement and compliance with safety and quality standards


Qualifications:


  • Experience in bulk liquid logistics, chemical supply chain, or industrial commodity distribution
  • Working knowledge of rail, barge, vessel, or terminal operations
  • Strong understanding of order management and inventory reconciliation processes
  • ERP experience (Oracle preferred) and strong Excel proficiency
