Job description

Part-Time Data Entry Clerk (Hybrid)

VIA LINK is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Data Entry Clerk to support emergency shelter data operations. This role
maintains accurate records in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) on behalf of the Unity Continuum of
Care (CoC), a coalition of local agencies coordinating services for people experiencing homelessness.

Compensation and Schedule


Hourly rate: $15.00,
Schedule: Part-time, 25 hours per week,

Work location: Hybrid - 3 days in-office (Mon/Tue/Wed) in Metairie, LA; remaining hours remote.


Key Responsibilities


Daily management and updating of emergency shelter data quality for the Unity Continuum of Care,
Generate and send custom reports,
Support additional data entry projects as assigned,
Work occasionally on-site at emergency shelters, which may involve direct interaction with shelter residents and staff,
Support the HMIS Administrator with the Identification Card System
Qualifications,
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel (including basic formulas and data sorting/filtering), and email,
Willingness to learn new databases and systems (HMIS training provided),
Ability to communicate effectively by phone, email, and in person,
Strong attention to detail and reliability,
Previous data entry experience preferred.
