To thrive as a VFX Supervisor, you need deep expertise in visual effects production, a strong understanding of animation and compositing, and demonstrated leadership experience, often acquired through a background in film, animation, or computer graphics. They work closely with directors, producers, and VFX artists to achieve the creative vision while staying within budget and schedule constraints. Their responsibilities include planning visual effects sequences, managing teams, supervising on-set shoots, and guiding post-production work to ensure high-quality results.
VFX Supervisors often face the challenge of balancing creative vision with technical and budgetary constraints, as projects can evolve rapidly in scope or direction. They are responsible for overseeing complex workflows, ensuring seamless collaboration between artists, and addressing feedback from directors and producers. Who You Are
You are an experienced Compositing Supervisor ready to jump into an exciting studio environment with a wide variety of projects. You have demonstrated experience supervising teams in a VFX production pipeline but are comfortable working on the box when needed. You are able to work with a producer to bid shots and the ability to design workflows and estimate artist time and tasks from script, concept and/or video references. You have a strong creative vision and want to contribute those skills to a growing team and company.
