Job description

Energy Management Corporation (EMC) is seeking a Junior VFD and Electric Motor Technician to join our Denver-based team. We are a 46-year leader in industrial automation specializing in electric motors, VFDs, and industrial drive systems.
This is a hands-on in-field role ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who want to build a long-term career in industrial electrical and mechanical service. You will work alongside experienced technicians while gaining real-world training in troubleshooting, repair, and field service support.
What You'll Do
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of electric motors, VFDs, and drive systems
  • Support troubleshooting and diagnostics using tools and software
  • Assist with equipment start-ups and field service calls
  • Read and interpret basic electrical schematics
  • Communicate findings with customers and internal teams
  • Maintain service records and support parts organization
  • Participate in rotating on-call schedule
  • Occasional travel for service calls
