The Virtual TeleAdvice Support team member will work directly under the supervision of the Team Lead. The medical support member will work largely on managing prescription requests. This individual could also support behind the scenes efforts in reviewing records, updating charts and wellness reminders, and building estimates. As well as customer facing efforts aimed at educating clients on illness and wellness care. The medical support team must be comfortable interacting with customers, advocating for best medicine, providing education, and forward booking pet parents across multiple channels including if needed text, chat, phone, and video.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage prescription refill requests and address forward booking where applicable
  • Act as a liaison between pet parents, referral partners, and Petfolk team members to assist in creating seamless care
  • Provide compassionate, caring support to all outreach to our helpline via phone, video, sms, or chat
  • Obtain histories and provide recommendations based on company protocols and procedures
  • Respond rapidly to all customer outreach during your shift, working with your direct report to identify and improve processes and procedures
  • Follow company policies and duties surrounding communication platform utilization
  • Document all interactions to a high medical standard
  • Supports the achievement of business objectives by supporting service goals. Timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures

Requirements
  • 5+ years experience as Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant, ER and GP experience in the veterinary field preferred
  • Experience with triage/remote work preferred
  • Licensed or registered veterinary technician preferred but not required
  • Prioritization of the gold standard approach to health and wellness of pets with a focus on preventative care.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in an innovative, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for improving veterinary healthcare and educating pet parents.
  • Compassionate team player with a positive attitude that prioritizes effective communication
  • Must live in one of the following states: AZ, FL, GA, NY, NC, SC, TN, KS, MO, VA, IN or TX
