Highlands Animal Clinic is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, client-focused Veterinary Receptionist with at least one year of veterinary experience to join our team. We're a busy, five-doctor practice located in the heart of Denver's Highlands neighborhood, where we combine high-quality veterinary medicine with the personalized service our clients have come to know and trust.

Our practice is located in a charming Victorian-style home nestled in a pet-friendly community near local boutiques and eateries. More importantly, we've created a fast-paced but organized workplace where teamwork matters, coworkers support one another, and exceptional client service is part of everything we do.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide exceptional customer service
  • Schedule appointments and help maintain an efficient multi-doctor calendar
  • Check clients and patients in and out while maintaining accurate information
  • Assist clients with questions regarding appointments, medications, pharmacy needs, and general veterinary care
  • Help identify urgent concerns and communicate appropriately with the medical team
  • Process credit card transactions and assist with daily financial balancing
  • Maintain accurate client and patient records
  • Support an efficient flow between the reception and medical teams
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby and reception area
  • Collaborate closely with doctors, technicians, assistants, and fellow receptionists to provide an exceptional client experience

What You'll Bring

  • At least one year of veterinary hospital experience
  • Previous veterinary reception experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent customer-service and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and commitment to going above and beyond for clients
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and dependable follow-through
  • Confidence handling client questions and sensitive situations professionally
  • Comfort using computers and veterinary practice-management software
  • IDEXX Cornerstone experience is a plus
