Veterinary Purchasing Co. Ltd. (VP), located in St. Marys, Ontario, is the largest veterinary owned distributor in Canada. Our primary purpose is to ensure that Veterinarians have the supplies they need to provide healthcare to all types of animals. Be a part of the Supply Chain Industry and join our team.

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Operations team as Full-Time Warehouse Associates.


WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE (Full-Time)


Under the general direction of the Order Process Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, and Warehouse Coordinators, the Warehouse Associate performs a variety of duties related to picking, verifying, packing, and shipping customer orders.

Our values of Service, Care, Community, Respect, and Integrity guide how we work together to provide our customers with accurate, quality orders on time. All team members also play an important role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workplace.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Pick and verify product orders to ensure accuracy
  • Pack orders to ensure product is not damaged during transport and that all shipping labels are applied, as required
  • Maintain warehouse to ensure that product is available and that shelves are neat and free of excess packaging material and debris
  • Complete daily warehouse preparation jobs, as assigned
  • Understand and follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures as required
  • Other duties as assigned


Note: This position requires employees to walk/stand for the entirety of their shift, and lift up to 50lbs, as needed.

Health & Safety:


  • Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Conducts self with regard for the safety of employees; is aware of safety and evacuation procedures
  • Report any health & safety violations or hazards to a Supervisor, Coordinator, or Manager

Good Manufacturing Practices:

  • Follow and understand all relevant Standard Operating Procedures with respect to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Skills and Knowledge Required:


  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong written & verbal communication
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Schedule:


Operational days are Sunday-Friday with varying shifts based on business needs. Operational hours run from 6:00AM until 9:00PM.
Shift openings are posted internally as needed.

Shift upon hire:


Sunday: 7:00AM - 5:30PM
Monday: 9:30AM - 8:00PM

Thursday: 9:30AM - 8:00PM

Friday: 9:30AM - 8:00PM

Starting Wage: $20.50 per hour
