Position Details

Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday. Rotating Saturday shifts. 7 am - 4 pm or 8 am - 5 pm

What You'll Do

  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and treatments
  • Safely handle and restrain patients with compassion and care
  • Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
  • Assist with patient treatments and nursing care
  • Collect laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Support surgical and dental procedures as needed
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes to the medical team
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Educate clients on medications, treatments, and preventive care
  • Clean, organize, and restock treatment and examination areas
  • Assist with patient admissions and discharges
  • Work collaboratively with the entire hospital team to provide outstanding patient care
  • Help maintain an efficient daily workflow
