Job description

Elm Creek Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team! Our technicians are pivotal in delivering exceptional care during surgical and dental procedures. They are responsible for coordinating and executing precise treatment plans, preparing animals for surgery, assisting in the OR, and performing dental procedures.
In this role, you will maintain detailed surgical records, review and implement treatment plans, and address client questions regarding their pet's care. You will also work closely with your team to manage the veterinarian's orders, ensuring the highest standards of patient care while maintaining an efficient workflow to keep procedures on schedule. This role is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who excel in multi-tasking and want to fully utilize their skill set and license.
This is a full-time position, with a 4/10s schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with 1-2 Saturdays a weekend on rotation.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
  • Compensation: $26-$28 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $2000
  • CE allowance: $500 the first year, $1,000 annually thereafter

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Minnesota
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Surgical set up
    • Radiology technique and positioning
    • Venipuncture, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
    • Laboratory experience
    • Inpatient care
