Job description

Position Overview:
Companion Animal Dental Services are seeking a compassionate and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team in Bolton, CT. The ideal candidate will have a passion for companion animal dentistry and drive for personal growth in a low volume high quality referral setting. We have a four-day work week with shifts being about 10 hours a day.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing oral exams, catheter placement, intubation, and anesthesia recovery.
  • Dental radiography, oral photography, dental charting, dental scaling and polishing, and performing local blocks. We are willing to teach these skills.
  • Collect samples for laboratory testing such as blood.
  • Maintenance of the surgical suite, caring for surgical instruments, keeping materials stocked, assisting on controlled substance logs and general clinic orderliness.
  • Leading by example with professionalism, communication, and patient advocacy.
Qualifications:
  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a small animal veterinary setting.
  • Proficient in anesthesia, dental radiographs, nursing skills, and client communication.
  • Passionate about team training and delivering exceptional patient care.
