Job description

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Job description:

About Us

Legacy Veterinary Group is a privately owned network of 6 veterinary hospitals in the Raleigh area. We are not corporate - we are a team. We believe that happy, supported employees lead to happy clients and healthy patients. We value mental health, work-life balance, and a non-toxic workplace, and we back that up with real policies and a culture that proves it.

About the Role

This is a dual-role position, trained as both a Client Service Representative and a Veterinary Assistant. As a float, you will support multiple Legacy Veterinary Group locations, giving you variety and the chance to connect with teams across our 6 hospitals.

What We're Looking For

We want someone who is compassionate, trustworthy, and eager to grow. The right candidate works well on a team, communicates clearly, and genuinely cares about the animals and clients they serve.

Client Service Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
  • Clear and professional communication
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple computer systems
  • Compassion and emotional intelligence
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Veterinary Assistant Skills:

  • Ability to place IV and urinary catheters
  • Administer medications (IV, IM, SQ, PO)
  • Draw blood and run in-house bloodwork
  • General radiology knowledge
  • Dental radiology and hygienist skills
  • General to advanced anesthesia skills
  • Assist with exams, dentals, and surgeries
  • Patient monitoring

Benefits

  • $200 pet credit per year (up to two personal pets)
  • Free exams and bloodwork + 20% off additional services for your pets
  • Access to Royal Canin, Purina Pro Plan for Professionals, and Hill's pet food at reduced cost
  • 3 sets of company scrubs and a company jacket (provided after 90 days)
  • 4-day work weeks - no weekends
  • Flexible scheduling with a focus on work-life balance
  • PTO - and time to actually use it

Continuing Education

We invest in our team's growth. Whether that means lunch-and-learns with trusted vendors, on-the-job training, or going back to school, we support it.

Interested in becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician? If you have assistant experience and want to pursue registration, we're open to discussing support for schooling costs. Paid school fees are dependent on grades and require a contract after 6 months of employment.

Experience

Veterinary experience is a plus, but not always required for the right candidate. If you're curious about what privately owned veterinary medicine looks like - apply and let us show you.

To apply, submit your resume through Indeed or contact us directly. We look forward to hearing from you!
