ROLE OVERVIEW

The IT Specialist (Bilingual) will drive the implementation of IT strategies aligned with business goals, manage larger projects, actively engage with vendors, contribute to policy development, participate in risk assessments, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure IT initiatives align with business objectives. This position requires a proactive approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to bring a broader perspective to the team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Take the lead in implementing IT strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring technology solutions contribute to organizational success.
  • Manage inbound support tickets, research incidents and service requests, and resolve where possible
  • Support and troubleshoot technologies such as email, networking, and Point-of-Sale systems
  • Manage larger IT projects from initiation to completion, coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables to achieve project goals within budget.
  • Actively engage with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and standards to enhance security, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Participate in risk assessments to identify potential IT vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard data and systems.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, assessing their potential impact on business operations and recommending innovative solutions.
  • Ensure IT initiatives align with business objectives, collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver value-added solutions.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Offer hands-on technical support and troubleshooting as needed, leveraging expertise in Microsoft and Google Suites environments, server management, and warehouse IT operations.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status, issues, and resolutions.
  • Respond promptly to IT emergencies and outages, implementing solutions to minimize disruption to business operations.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ Years of experience In the Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Restaurant, or Warehouse Industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical support experience, with demonstrated expertise in Microsoft and Google Suites environments, server management, and warehouse IT operations.
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale systems, especially Roller, preferred.
  • Proven track record in strategic IT implementation, project management, vendor engagement, and policy development.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving common goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Experience in risk assessment, technology evaluation, and business alignment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Google Cloud Certified Associate are advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Bilingual, English & Mandarin (required)
  • Ability to travel 25% (required)
