Job description

This position will be a working supervisor/coordinator and will be in charge of the night shift crew 4 team. This position will pay $40 - $44/hour.

This is a hands-on position that is responsible for leading and training a Maintenance team. Hands on involvement, careful follow-up, and disciplined delegation to the team are of utmost importance. A “Strictly Business” attitude with little need for influence, “People interaction” is essential to being successful. Central to this job is the need to weigh all decisions carefully and thoroughly, based on expertise to avoid unpredictable risk. Getting the job done and getting the job done right are the two equal drivers for this job.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for Weekly Timecard approval for your crew in UKG.

· Responsible for tracking employee Vacation and Attendance.

· Ensure all equipment in the facility is maintained properly and operating safely and efficiently every day

· Proficient in all Preventive Maintenance tasks across all equipment within the facility.

· Follow all Versatex Best Practices and SOP’s

· Provide support to the facility by responding to breakdowns to solve maintenance issues independently

· Oversee and hold team accountable for the performance of the PM’s

· Participate in the acquisition of parts as they are used for repairs

· Direct the entire team and ensure proper training of all team members

· Give feedback and hold team accountable. Participate in yearly written reviews for the designated team members

· Report to the Maintenance Supervisor daily through verbal and written communication on any issues including, but not limited to, team members, safety, and equipment

· Accurately record and research all parts used within shift to maintain proper inventory of spare parts

· Log and send a Shift Report for each shift worked to the Versatex Operations Team

· Manage and maintain both facilities at Aliquippa #1 & #2

· This is a hands-on position that requires direct interaction with the team

· They will be performing maintenance tasks daily within the facilities that is a requirement of this position

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

· Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

· Communication Skills: Successfully communicate by written or verbal communication. Writing must be legible and neat

· Certified in Versatex Forklift Training Program and be able to move all necessary items independently

· Proficient in using a computer to log, order and inventory all parts and equipment

· Must understand the function and protocols of all lockout/tagout procedures as trained, and hold team members accountable for using these procedures

· Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of all equipment

· Follow all OSHA and Versatex safety guidelines when performing tests, inspecting and repairing mechanical/electrical equipment

· Understand and participate in Versatex’s 5-S program daily/monthly

· Must have a 2-year degree in electrical maintenance or 5 years prior experience in industrial maintenance

· Must be in Versatex Maintenance department for a minimum of 5 years

· Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts, scheduled and/or posted overtime when required to meet the company’s needs

· Work alongside team members to give guidance, training and feedback for the success of the team

· Must possess attention to detail skills pertaining to all phases of maintenance repair

· Responsible for directing maintenance tasks to the team members, including leading members on other shifts

· Proficient with all types of sensors, operations, installations and repair of all units as well as training other team members

· Proficient with vacuum and pressure blowers, operation and installation, and repair of all units as well as training other team members

· Proficient with air compressor technology and maintenance, along with repairing, installation, troubleshooting, and training other team members

· Must track all inventory and maintain an acceptable level of spare parts

· Able to troubleshoot and repair all plant equipment with focus on electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and interpreting schematics

· Maintain and care for all issued tools, equipment and parts in the Maintenance room

· Take appropriate action to not allow unsafe parts and/or equipment to run

· Able to train team members in the maintenance department so they gain the knowledge to succeed

· Able to lead and manage the entire team by direction of daily tasks that need to be addressed. Must be willing and able to hold team members accountable for completing repairs that arise during the shift or as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor

· Required to perform long periods of standing and walking on cement foundation, and must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Ensure all personnel protective equipment is used required for specific jobs and in specified areas of the plant. Hold all team members accountable for proper usage of required PPE

· Able to climb ladders as trained
