Quality Test Technician
Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Quality Management team is looking for a self-driven individual to perform hands on testing of various FiOS Equipment including Set-Top Boxes, Broadband Home Routers and Optical Network Terminals. The role will ultimately be a key stakeholder who provides recommendation for test changes required prior to new product launches and for the lifecycle of current products.
The person shall have the strong ability to positively impact Supply Chain metrics such as Returns and Repair, NTF, bounce rate etc. Scope is to significantly improve OEM and 3PL product quality.
The candidate is expected to:
Perform testing and full lifecycle support of FiOS products (STB, ONT, BHR)
Develop and/or enhance existing lab test architecture including equipment procuring & setups
Designing test measurement techniques to characterize critical test parameters
Review & contribute to product test documentation and design documentation
Establish lab test setups with limited information
Provide test support to replicate customer experienced failure, track and troubleshoot issues and help drive solutions
Applying best practices and contributing to the ongoing improvement of lab test procedures
Support Quality Management team on lab studies and other quality assignments
Provide clear and concise results of all testing to management team
Manage and facilitate the movement of Verizon products that require quality control testing to be performed
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Candidate skills & knowledge are expected to include the following:
Understand how to troubleshoot using OSI model
Experience with Home Networking and Fiber Optics products
Ability to use test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, MPEG analyzers, oscilloscope, RF signal meters

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Good understanding of verification test plans, test execution, results collaboration and bug reporting
