Job description

Job Title: RF/Digital Engineer 

Job Location: Melville, NY (100% onsite)

Salary: $95,000-$115,000/yr DOE


  • Investigates and conducts studies on specifications and requirements of the project.
  • Performs original RF and Digital circuit design and analysis.
  • Supplies technical assistance and coordination to designers and staff assigned to the project.
  • Provides directions to the Engineering Technician and Associate Engineer while breadboarding, wiring, debugging and testing are being performed.
  • Designs and plans, wiring layouts and schematics.
  • Plans tests to be conducted and arranges the test setup.
  • Checks performance of devices during tests and evaluates the results.
  • Provides technical assistance in the preparation of spare parts lists, special tools, test equipment and other engineering data.
  • Specifies the procurement of specialized components and test equipment.
  • Assists in the preparation of bids and proposals.
  • Uses PC-based Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) programs of moderate complexity.

  • Bachelor’s degree Electrical engineering (BSEE) or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years prior experience or master’s degree and a minimum of 2 years prior experience.
  • 3+ years of RF Microwave and/or Digital Engineering experience in design, development, analysis and investigation of electronic devices and systems required.
  • Must be familiar:
    • Modeling and Simulating
    • Optimizing new conceptual circuits along with evaluating, testing, tuning, and modifying circuits.
    • Amplifier design using both packaged components and bare die
    • Microprocessor programming languages: C, C++
    • Real time operating systems (RTOS)
    • Knowledge of hardware development as it pertains to embedded software
    • Microprocessors from Microchip (PIC)
    • Verilog or VHDL to describe digital circuits for FPGA design.
    • Xilinx FPGA and development tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience writing technical specifications and other technical documents
