A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. We are looking for individuals to work at our program with persons served who may exhibit challenging interfering behaviors, such as physical aggressions, verbal aggressions and property destruction. To be successful in this role we are looking for candidates with prior experience with intense high behaviors, both verbal and physical. You will provide supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, people who are faced with metal health, behavioral, and/or significant medical challenges.
We are looking to hire staff who are patient, have good decision making and experience working with behavioral management or crisis plans.
Prior IDD, mental health, psychiatric, and/or security experience is strongly preferred.
