Job description

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical testing activities for R&D, manufacturing, and sustaining engineering projects for medical devices.
  • Develop test plans, execute electrical, EMC, and safety testing, and prepare technical reports in accordance with IEC 60601 standards.
  • Perform electrical hardware validation, troubleshoot PCBAs, circuit boards, power supplies, cables, and other electronic components.
  • Analyze design and BOM changes, conduct failure investigations, and support product validation and regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of Electrical Test Engineering or Electrical Engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, EMC, and Electrical Safety Testing.
  • Strong experience with electrical hardware design validation, PCBAs, circuit boards, power supplies, and electronic hardware testing.
  • Proficiency using electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Arden Hills, MI.
Preferred Experience
  • Medical Device industry experience (Class II or Class III devices).
  • FDA-regulated product development.
  • Design Verification & Validation (DV&V).
  • Experience with Altium PCB Layout Tool.
  • Manufacturing engineering, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.
