The Sr Field Validation Engineer is responsible for conducting field tests on prototype agricultural and off-highway equipment and coordinating field testing activities for Application equipment within the field validation team. The Sr Validation Engineer acts as a key technical resource; supporting training, troubleshooting, and ensuring the use of best practices. Additionally, this position serves as a primary point of contact between Field Validation and cross functional engineering groups on applicationrelated topics, ensuring clear, accurate communication and alignment of test outcomes. 

This remote position will be located near the Mississippi River valley and have primary responsibility for managing field test operations in NE Arkansas, W Tennessee, W Kentucky, and SE Missouri.  This position will be part of the field validation team based in Jackson, Minnesota. 

Your Impact:

  • Coordinate with design to plan and conduct extensive field testing, including selecting test locations, coordinating with cooperators, and traveling as required.  

  • Collect, organize, and analyze performance data using instrumentation such as data loggers, and report accurate test results, failures, and improvement recommendations.  

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CANBUS systems during field operations and testing activities.  

  • Collaborate with farmers, dealers, field teams, and engineering to validate machine performance, address safety concerns, and share industry insights.  

  • Represent Validation Engineering in design reviews and project milestones while maintaining equipment condition, appearance, and security throughout the testing process. 

Your Experience and Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent experience) with strong mechanical aptitude and handson fabrication/modification skills  

  • 5+ years of field testing or technical experience in agricultural/offhighway machinery, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CANBUS systems. 

  • Travel:  up to 75% travel in the region during the growing season when field test units are active.  Occasional travel to Jackson, Minnesota will be required for training, meetings, and lab testing support during the off season.  Travel to the southern and southeastern U.S. as needed in support of testing programs. 

  • Strong communication skills for presenting findings to engineering teams, programs, and leadership  

  • Proficiency with diagnostic and data acquisition tools, with ability to meet physical requirements (clean driving record, physical required to drive DOT vehicles in state of licensure, lifting to 50 lbs)

Your Compensation:

This position will be within the range of $95,000 - $115,000 based on experience.This position is eligible for a bonus based on10% compensation.
